Garden of Rama   by Arthur C. Clarke, Gentry Lee

Continuing adventures of the intrepid explorers. As usual the attention to detail is remarkable, and the science fiction is crisp and sharp. There are times (like when big birds start talking) when you start to question the sensibility of the whole thing, but Arthur Clarke manages to keep it believeable.
