No Itisnt a572fc95f9 Use AM_SILENT_RULES to pare down build output, ignore auto-generated files 
* .gitignore: Ignore extra gnulib headers.
* am/snarf: Silent SNARF command
* am/guilec: Silent GUILEC command
* configure.ac: Use AM_SILENT_RULES when available

do not name files using extension ".am", as automake is overzealous sometimes.
